Comet Garradd
Comet C/2009 P1 (Garradd) should remain an easy catch through binoculars at least into April 2012. At the time of this image, the comet shone at magnitude 7.2, and predictions indicated that it should brighten still more in the coming weeks. The brightest star in this image is magnitude 5.9 SAO 66054, which lies in Hercules, a bit more than 3° southeast of magnitude 3.2 Pi Herculis.by Gerald Rhemann from Vienna, Austria
